A fine morning to head over to the mainland and do some exploring. First stop, sunrise at Eilean Donan Castle. The most likely image to find on shortbread tins and all calendars titled "Scotland" apparently....

Also, this is the view from the nearby car park at Dornie hall, so another one for the "great views from Scottish car parks" list.

'Findhorn Bay Sunset', watercolour, 74 x 53 cm. I sketched for this sitting on the veranda of a very nice house by the bay; in the evening stillness you could hear the voices of the people on the boats. Nowhere does sunsets like Findhorn Bay! (in northern Scotland)
