I've started using Beeline here in Dublin, following a recommendation by Jenni Gwiazdowski, of #LondonBikeKitchen.

I've found that it's a lot more reliable in finding quieter routes than any mapping options I've tried so far.

It's not perfect, missing local shortcuts, etc., but do I use it for new routes.

It requires purchasing a little gadget, though, which is pricey.

It's UK focussed (on the British Cycling org), but applies to so many shitty decisions made by so many sporting bodies, including here in Ireland.
