I’ve loved the London Review of Books' Letters page for years. The panoply of voices & opinions is highly addictive. Today I ticked something off my writer’s bucketlist by seeing my letter published in there.
French/Canadian/Welsh writer Peter Meilleur was a concrete poet whose innovations continue to influence me to this day & so I feel a genuine warmth at being able to pay homage to his memory. I hope Six of Clubs gets the reprint it deserves.

Nothing -- no stunning fireworks nor well-intended resolutions nor serious reflection -- makes me feel more like a new year is about to begin than the annual renewal of my subscription to the #LondonReviewOfBooks. I instantly get the feeling that there is a new year with an overwhelming amount of reading ahead. And that's all I want, honestly. #lrb
What's inside you? All gnarled up inside us are people, animals and places. We peer into a bog cauldron and witness a giant, and within him a young girl, and within her a hare, and within him a salmon. Through this scrying we locate secret histories. In stagcult, mythologist Martin Shaw invites us to adventure with him as he explores, and discovers, the nature of becoming whole.
