TfL closed tube station lifts more than 500 times last year, despite being in working order, because there were no “trained staff” available in case they broke down.

The worst-affected station was Wimbledon Park, according to an #FOI. Last year it was shut on 84 occasions.

What are your favourite Tube stations that are worth a visit? I'm tempted to go on a bit of a tour with my camera. So far, my favourites that I've visited are: Cockfosters, Baker St, Earl's Court, Canary Wharf, Battersea Power, Arsenal, Clapham Common, Great Portland Street, Turnpike Lane.

Some on my list include Uxbridge, and Gants Hill. Any others that are worth going to, to take photos and look at Tube architecture?

London The Board Game is a roll & move game about traveling London's Underground seeing the sites.

The game uses a map of the actual Underground subway system in London! I enjoyed reading about all the sights (Picadilly Circus, Baker St, Scotland Yard, etc) that I've heard about for years on TV (we watch a LOT of BBC shows!) and seeing where they are in relation to eachother.

The game does a fantastic job of making you want to go there and see the sights in person!

Commuters took part in the annual 'No Trousers Tube Ride' on the London Underground, braving the chilly winter weather to ride on public transport in their underwear.

The annual event, which was launched in New York in 2002 and first came to the British capital in 2009, had been postponed since 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
