I have asthma & unfortunately contracted covid June of last year, a time when they said covid was no longer as severe & was just like a flu. I was down for 2 weeks & a year later still had symptoms. My asthma is worse now, and I can't even climb a flight of stairs or walk on inclines without losing my breath. Yes, long covid is real & it is precariously destabilizing for the vulnerables & immuno compromised. Let's stop kidding ourselves!

I'm immuno compromised. I was successfully able to avoid covid for more than 2 years. But 2 vaccines, a booster and bivalent later, I got hit last July! They said it's mild & will last a few days only. I was bed ridden for 15 days, almost went to the hospital. More than half a year later I get short of breath after a short walk and tire easily. They said it may take me a year to fully recover.
