Love and Rockets - Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven
Posted about this before, but that was the colored re-release from the box set. This is my original UK copy from 1985, played in honor of the tour they’re on.
Sounds as good as it did the day I bought it, which should be read as “great”. Mixed with a compressed soundstage, which feels appropriate for the psychedelia-influenced content within.
Flawless debut, fascinating semi-pivot from Bauhaus.

Daniel Ash - Stripped
Out of all the folks in Bauhaus, Daniel Ash feels like the one who felt the most hemmed in by the success of that band, and later, Love and Rockets.
Stripped takes material from those and Tones on Tail and radically reworks them, tilting hard into club, reggae, etc. (Originally, it was going to be acoustic but Daniel, no surprise, found that boring.)
