Damn! Looks like a second edition of #LowFantasyGaming is in the works! My favorite system is getting grittier!
Had a really great #LowFantasyGaming session on Sunday night. A Dark & Dangerous Magic failure resulted in a random roll that just absolutely fucked the party, and it was awesome.
They had to completely abandon their plans and we ended up with basically an ad hoc warlock duel...
My turn as GM is done for this rotation as my #LowFantasyGaming crew has safely made it back to town for some downtime activities. Next up, I get to play #traveller, where the intrepid crew of the Miss Jump are about to blunder our way into a diplomatic incident...
And this chapter of our #LowFantasyGaming campaign comes to an end. The Green Dragon Brotherhood only kind of fell for the trap set by the strange intelligent giant apes of the Suurat Jungle and were able to fight their way back to civilization...
Everything is prepped for tomorrow night's #LowFantasyGaming session. All the Green Dragon Brotherhood has to do is make it back to town. Easy peasy, right?
Not usually the kind of session we run, but tonight's #LowFantasyGaming game was one big combat to rescue a party member taken hostage by a shit ton of Serpentfolk.
The Green Dragon Brotherhood was vastly outnumbered, but they finally started using tactics and the martial exploits in the game to even the playing field, and they emerge victorious!
And it's COMPLETELY coincidental that the only PC with real damage is the one I had to run because the player no-showed...
Today's #LowFantasyGaming session was a real success! The players all came from #DND 5e, and all of them raved about LFG.
The #5RoomDungeon I built was perfect for one session, time-wise.
The ideas I recently read about and saw about how to more effectively use traps really paid off, too. They spent a lot more time problem-solving and no dumb gotchas. They still almost killed themselves.
Might revise it and run it again!

Running #LowFantasyGaming in person today for actual people around a table. Homemade scenario started with random seeds from the #TomeOfAdventureDesign. Alternately worrying it'll be too hard and too easy.

Couple of pickups from my NFLGS' used section during their Boxing Week sale.

Prepping a #LowFantasyGaming one-shot for a group of friends from the gym. Setting it in the same world as my ongoing campaign so hopefully my "real" players can run through this, too.
A few random rolls on the tables in the #TomeOfAdventureDesign and now I've got a dungeon (thanks to #DungeonScrawl), a pin on my #LegendKeeper map, a new cult to protect that dungeon, a couple home-brewed monsters, and a little lore.
My poor 5e-playing jiu jitsu friends ain't gonna know what him 'em. I expect my regular #LowFantasyGaming campaign players will find their corpses at some point...

So a few friends from my #jiujitsu gym asked if I wanted to play #DND over the holiday. Never one to say no to gaming, I said sure.
Turns out, none of them can DM. And I don't know #5e very well. So I've talked them into trying #LowFantasyGaming
I feel like I'm about to radicalize them...

At present I’m running a weekly #BasicFantasyRPG campaign (online), and a monthly #CastlesAndCrusades (in person). My weekly online #DnD5e campaign recently ended so we’re playing an #EZd6 one shot I wrote right now.
In the coming year I REALLY want to try out #LowFantasyGaming.
#ttrpg folks, what are you running, or hoping to run?

Doing a little prep for tomorrow night's session of #LowFantasyGaming - luckily, they didn't far into what I had prepped last session. #LegendKeeper makes managing it so easy.

Fun session of #LowFantasyGaming last night. Using a couple adventure frameworks from the campaign setting and a whole lot of random tables.
Committed to emergent sandbox play but maybe guiding the players just a little at this point in time because I didn't make all those goddamn Foundry tokens for nothing.
Getting prepped for tomorrow's #LowFantasyGaming session. Using one of the adventure frameworks from the #Midlands campaign setting - but adapting it so the party is being lured into a trap.
#ttrpg crew - I'm thinking about running a West Marches style game, which I've never done but which really sounds fun. Can't decide if trying a new system at the same time is too much new stuff at once.
It would either be #LowFantasyGaming, which is my current beloved system, or #Hyperborea, which I've bought but never run.
Anyone got any insight before I get in over my head?

Had to push our #LowFantasyGaming session to Tuesday. My wife and son are going to a Morrissey show tonight, so I gotta feed the other kids.
Last night's #LowFantasyGaming game was a total blast. We had a Dark and Dangerous Magic roll almost ruin a heist, a chase that ebbed and flowed, a random encounter that gave them a glimpse into the bigger picture. The system just provides well designed FUN at every turn!
I am feeling really unprepared for tonight's #LowFantasyGaming session, despite the fact that every session ends up being wildly different from what I have prepared in the first place. Do other GMs get this anxiety?
