@Sektorenkoppler @WenAstar Einige Freunde haben #Loxone im Einsatz. Sicher nicht ganz so flexibel aber einfacher in der Konfiguration, aus meiner Sicht aber sehr innovativ.

@hobbyblogging Die Vorteile von #KNX und auch #Loxone erkenne ich durchaus: Drahtgebunden. Trotzdem prognostiziere ich die Konvergenz der Systeme hin zum offenen Standard (analog USB-C etc.) #SmartHome

@spielundzeug Basisfunktionen verdrahtet, Komfort digital. - Da gehe ich mit. Meine Installation besteht primär aus Lampen, daher setze ich auf verdrahtetes #Casambi statt #KNX. Und oben drauf kommen dann #SmartHome-Lösungen auf #Homekit-Basis. - Zu Lösungen wie #Loxone bin ich übrigens zum gleichen Schluss gekommen: Abhängigkeit von Einzelanbieter nix gutt. 🙃

Things that are missing from #propertySearch websites in the UK:

1. Is there room for me to have a #workshop?
2. Does it have a basement/cellar I can turn into a workshop?
3. Does it come with whole-house networking back to a central comms cabinet?
4. Is it already wired for one of the smart-home standards such as #KNX or #loxone?
5. Does it have #broadband speeds in excess of 100Mbps?

Looking at houses as a #geek is way harder than it needs to be... 🤣

So far, I was contra #HomeAutomation like #KNX or #Loxone for many (good) reasons.

Meanwhile, I do think that I just dislike the "deeply merged into the house", sometimes #cloud and lock-in aspects.

#HomeAssistant with power measuring devices, sensors I own in any way, device integrations, ... is great for logging, monitoring (energy insight!) and automation tasks. I think I'm going to embrace and love this.
