#Kdenlive doesn't work on Android. #LumaFusion doesn't work on Linux. This is an example of what #OpenTimelineIO would attempt to solve.

Kdenlive currently supports this but not LumaFusion. That's a bummer.

it’s great to hear that #LumaTouch is expanding their reach like that, though I won’t be using #LumaFusion on either of my Android devices and will likely never give a crap about ChromeOS. I’m quite happy with the iPad for the kind of videos I normally make. so far even the fancier videos I’ve tried have been handled well by what I’ve got to work with.

this just means that other folk can put their visions together easily. that’s a good thing!

Just got paid out from my Youtube and I instantly bought #LumaFusion from the PlayStore. It might be overkill but damn it's nice.

tablets, specifically my (4th gen) iPad Air, are *vital* if you make videos and are unable to spend $400+ on Final Cut Pro or its equivalent on other platforms.

I edit with #LumaFusion, which currently only works on iOS. (I understand they’re working on a #Linux version now, but my Linux box is old and slow.)

LumaFusion cost me about $30, and I think it’s still around that price point.

editing videos is what lured me over to the dark side, aka Apple products.

Looks like #LumaFusion on iPad (and now M1 Macs) has rudimentary support for #/tags in the Notes field. That could be a start.

Yeah, still waiting on this one. The sooner I can install #Lumafusion (which works surprisingly well on my low-powered Teracube 2e) on my OG #Chromebook Duet, the sooner I can consider cancelling my subscription to WeVideo.

(That is not to say that WeVideo is horrible - it's an awesome online video editor, but I suspect that you'd need to have a really good internet connection plus a lot of bandwidth to make the best use of it.)

Looks like I'll still have to rely on WeVideo on that end. At least it's still working fine with my TeraCube 2e, so I can't really complain.

Wow. The beta version of #Lumafusion for #Android and #ChromeOS actually works on my TeraCube 2e which, mind you, is a pretty low-end “sustainable” smartphone with a #Mediatek Helio A25 processor and 4GB of RAM. I was able to pinch a few clips I had lying around on Google Drive, do some cutting, add a couple of transitions, and export the end result in 1080p without much hassle.

Of course, that’s pretty basic stuff, and I suspect that there’ll be more teething problems if I’m to attempt something more demanding, but this is a promising sign.

Really psyched that #Lumafusion is now available on #Chromebooks and #Android devices running Android 11. Gonna test it on a couple of low-end devices, mainly my TeraCube 2e and my 2020 Chromebook Duet.

I love using it on my various iOS/iPadOS devices, so it'll be interesting to see how it'll run on Android, especially in terms of optimisation.

With the existence of apps like #Krita and #LumaFusion on #ChromeOS, high-end #Chromebooks now have more reasons to exist.
