RE: Getting my #Lytro A1 to work for the #ShittyCameraChallenge
Ug, not looking good unless I need to find someone with PC. I have a M1 Mac mini and a 2012 iMac.
Software version 4 (which appears to be the latest for Mac) won’t recognize the camera, even though my computer’s do (they recognize it as a CD and a finder window pops up).
However, when I click on it, it says I need additional components which throws a nasty error if I say yes to install.
@Billthoo Update, I found a cord that charges it, and it works! But yeah, I clicked on #Lytro, and read something to that effect. The company failed in 2018, and someone was saying they stopped updating the “software”. Sounded like it was installed locally, but not sure. It’s still going to be an uphill battle…
Anybody remember #Lytro cameras? Essentially, you can adjust the depth of field after the fact.
There are no aperture settings because each shot captures all apertures, and you “choose” the aperture later via software.
A friend gave me the #LytroA1 pictured below, and I’d like to use it for the #ShittyCameraChallenge.
But… I can’t get it to charge. I didn’t get the original cable, but it’s just a micro USB. I tried a few different cords, but nada.
