It's April 6. By this time last year it had already been eleven (11 !) weeks since I'd spotted the first returning robins on an extraordinarily warm January day in my central southern plains home in the USA.

This year? None (yet?). None at all. Not one. Absolutely zero.

I'm dumbfounded. I'm scared, & saddened to the point of teary-eyed.

I miss them. But the earthworms rejoice for now.
