One consequence of overdoing things recently is a huge increase in twitches all round my body, and the sensation of electric shocks emanating from my spine.

I'm going to have a magnesium tablet (if I can open the bottle), and hope that will calm my poor nervous system down a bit.

@CyruxiME I have my suspicions that I may have a #CSFleak which may date back to a botched epidural I had in 1995. I would be very loathe to let anybody fish around inside my spine and potentially make it worse. But I wish doctors could acknowledge that something is physically wrong in there instead of dismissing it as 'functional'.

@Persephone The suggestion originates not from long Covid but from ME/CFS following the diagnoses of two #pwME in 2017-18 and their subsequent surgeries (craniocervical fusion).

But this is not backed by any research, and the little that’s published is really weak in terms of quality / rigour.

It’s been discussed *a lot* in the #MECFS community (there even is a hashtag for it #MEspine) and many people have gone on to have the same surgery, some good outcomes, plenty of bad ones too.
