The worst part of this #carleerussell story is that at the same time in #Winnipeg, #Manitoba #Canada right now we have women in a landfill that the municipality and province refuse to search for the remains of women who went missing and are known to be there. #MMIWG

I’ve never been more embarrassed to be #canadian than watching a national debate over if we should spend the money to remobe women’s remains (mothers, daughters, sisters) from a landfill in #Winnipeg. When Indigenous tell you they are treated less than human, this is what they are talking about. The Federal government doesn’t have jurisdiction and the local and provincial governments are ghouls. #MMIWG

Weekly rallies concerning MMIWG and human trafficking have been going on since February on 118th Avenue. The last one happened on April 29 - but there is more to come.
