@vertis I create #MOC when I think I have amassed a significant amount of note that links to a central concept. Most of my MOCs initially serve as an index page to a topic. I'd then try to refactor it into a note that summarises the topic, linking to all the #AtomicNotes I have. I find it satisfying and give me a sense of how good/bad I have understood a concept
@markmcelroy @josschuurmans @obsidianmd @obsidian @nickmilo I think the reason tags feel better for those things is that they fall into their own separate category that’s clearly distinct from links, and have their own separate ways of finding and organizing them, including the core plugin and community plugins such as TagFolder.
Heck, you can even use tags in the service of link-based organizing, such as tagging all of your MOCs with #MOC.
Guilty as charged Your Honour! Just published an article called "I Have Been Doing My Obsidian Maps of Content (MOCs) All Wrong". #obsidian #pkm #MOC #notemaking https://ricraftis.au/obsidian/i-have-been-doing-my-obsidian-maps-of-content-mocs-the-wrong-way/

Terms of art that mean little to the new and uninitiated are a real problem when new tools supporting personal knowledge management are blooming.
Please kill the jargon kids.
