I still have a #TiVo and #TiVoMini setup. We have #CableTV and we find it useful. The TiVo was the best consumer electronic device we had when we got it in 2014 (?). Now, I feel as if I spend all my time troubleshooting its network, #MoCA, inexplicable lockups, etc. I wish I could monitor its #syslog or status via #SNMP or something. Ugh.

Their wireless has a #6GHz antenna. Maybe for backhaul? They also have #MoCA built-in, so you don't need your own transceiver.

You WILL want to make sure their stuff is in bridge mode (you may need to call them to do it remotely) if you have your own router. Otherwise things will get NASTY.

Their #DNS is sus. Change it. Personally I use MIT's because of history, and Level 3's, with google's (ugh) as a last ditch fallback.

Having made my case for "quote tweet" in a prior toot, I will now quote tweet. :) I moved into a house 3 years ago with coax wired all over the place. Clearly the past owners had loved their cable TV. It was pulled into nearly every room. I mostly cut it, ripped it out, etc. Only years later did I discover #MoCA. And by that point, I didn't have a single run of unmolested coax left in my house.
