Just had a fantastic #MTGCommander game. I was playing Prosper Tomebound, and my opening hand was so good I just announced to the table we were gonna play archenemy now.
Played my commander on turn 2, attacked with Urabrask (the new one) on turn 3, and played Tybalt on turn 4 to steal the wheel-deck's Orcish Bowmasters and play it.
I was running on all cylinders and managed to get everyone below 20 life before they finally managed to board wipe and slow me down.

Alright folks, I've narrowed down my new Bruticlad tokens deck to 100 cards. It's powerful as hell, but weak to disruption. At the moment it has too many "make a token of a creature" cards and not enough defense/resilience/protection.

Thinking about running Citanul Flute in a Yidris Cascade #commander deck.
I'm just envisioning the line of like, cascade trigger on the stack, look at the top three with Sensei's Divining Top, then if it's all bad hits you just tap the flute for 0 for a shuffle?
Is that too goofy? Not trying to build anywhere near cEDH.

For 2016, we've skipped right past the 2-set Battle for Zendikar block (my favorite Magic plane, btw, and at the time occupied by Lovecraftian cosmic horrors), and dropped into (Shadows over) Innistrad as its flavors of horror morphs from Gothic to Cosmic.

Thalia is cool, but I can only see myself playing her cards if I finally port my mono-white Taranika Brawl deck to #MTGCommander. I should.

December 13, in addition to being #Lucia / #SaintLucysDay, is day 19 of my #MTGSecretLair #MagicTheGathering #30thAnniversary Countdown Kit-opening.

I'd started a day later and aimed for opening my last card on Christmas Day, rather than Christmas Eve, I would have gotten the visually appropriate Sun Titan for Lucia.

Instead, from 2011, I got this creepy Birthing Pod. Powerful card, and one I've actually played in #MTGCommander in the past. I'll surely pair it with Muldrotha in the future!

This weirdo print of 2007's Ponder actually made it into a #MTGCommander deck before I took the time to compose this toot. It got to replace the regular version in the "Heads I Win, Tails You Lose" preconstructed deck I mentioned a few days ago and sleeved up and played today.

Just woke up on December 7, and realized that I forgot to toot about December 6 being the 12th day of my #MTGSecretLair #MagicTheGathering #30thAnniversary Countdown Kit-opening!

Glimpse of Nature (2004) is an extremely powerful card when you can cast a bunch of cheap or free creatures in a single turn. (Or maybe the same creature multiple times.)

I already have a #MTGCommander deck it could fit into, but I might scrap that because it tends to lead me into long, multiplayer-unfriendly turns.

December 5 is the 11th day of my #MTGSecretLair #MagicTheGathering #30thAnniversary Countdown Kit-opening! It's a fancy one! (And, incidentally, I got my extremely delayed Heads I Win, Talks You Lose #MTGCommander deck in the mail.)

From 2003, a very shiny (and, at the moment, pringley) Chrome Mox. Starting to rack up foils now, and this is a pricy, powerful one.

(I actually already got a special Chrome Mox as a box topper for Double Masters, though I'd preferred a Mox Opal. Exile feels bad.)

Got another shiny pringle in the form of Genesis from 2002. It's probably too slow for #MTGCommander, but I've wanted to give it a try since shortly after I started playing, 9 years ago.

I'm seeing a pattern emerging, really. Plenty of cards I've wanted try out but never did.

Yesterday was pretty busy, since I mostly wrapped up a #coding project for school, so I neglected to toot about the 8th day of my #MTGSecretLair #MagicTheGathering #30thAnniversary Countdown Kit-opening.

From 2000 (happy new millennium!), we have Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero. I already had a couple of original copies from buying a friend's collection some years back, but this new art makes me actually want to see if building a Rebel-tribal #MTGCommander deck is feasible.

And, speak of the foil-devil: I opened a goblin-shaped pringle (or pringle-shaped goblin) from 1999 in Squee, Goblin Nabob. I suppose I'll want to build a sacrifice/aristocrat #MTGCommander deck at some point, and when I do... Squee will be there.

From 1996, we have the easily forgettable and maybe deceptively powerful Lim-Dûl's Vault. It's only been reprinted once before, in #MTGCommander 2013, and it's consequently pretty expensive for a card printed at uncommon.

I only have plans for one deck that's both blue and black right now, and I'm not sure if this card is a good fit for that, but one day...

November 27 is day of 3 of my #MTGSecretLair #MagicTheGathering #30thAnniversary Countdown Kit-opening!

From 1995, I got a particularly shiny (foil) Necropotence!

I've been planning two separate mono-black #MTGCommander decks: one centered around Gisa, Glorious Resurrector, and the other around Vilis, Broker of Blood.

Not sure which one gets this particular copy of the card, though.
