That G3 Tower became the true starting point of my mac adventure. Around the year 2k and Apple was about to release OS X Server my father insisted I should explore osx because it was according to like than and I used at the time.

I got to explore via that Beige G3 and ended up buyingm my own G4 at the age of 17. Probably the most expensive thing I've ever bought compared to income :D

More things I regret throwing away.

Another series of pictures of old computer stuff. Collected 2 old from my father around 18 years ago but didn't have space for them later in life.

I combined the Quadras into one maxed out with RAM and explored /UX . Had a great deal of problem getting an A/UX image back then.

I’m kind of late for Marchintosh, so here’s my PowerMac G4 Quicksilver (733 MHz, 1 GB) doings some video encoding on a newly installed 128 GB SSD! It’s slow, but this is how it was in 2001. :)

If you're a Mac user, use and have an SSL stripping proxy, smallsco just released v0.4.2 of to support PowerPC architectures in addition to 68K so you can use Mastodon like you're living in an alternative universe! Stuff loads faster too.

I write this toot from Macstodon too, hehe. You should try it out if you haven't already :)

running on an unsupported on an monitor. Must say Mac OS 9 looks beautiful at 3440x1440.

Didn't get Crypto Ancienne to work via Power MachTen for some reason so I installed it on a Linux server instead (but feels a bit like cheating though). Browsing with TLS works fine now but I prefer .

No need for emulation when having a small and silent machine like this on the

Due to lack of other optical drives I needed to dig up the old to burn the custom CD.

For some reason didn't like the monitor or the resolution on the monitor so can't get the to boot from a usb stick.

A few month ago I browsed macos9lives.com and found out that it was possible to boot on a with some custom hacks.

I became a user with the release of to replace my and workstations. So never really used the old privately.

So i've rigged up my old Mini G4 1.25GHz on the desk together with my to get going.
