@johnnykilloran Lord, no! The crass commercialism of the Macys parade has been standard for decades! But it’s part of its wacky charm.

The parade broadcast director is more interested in focusing on the crowd singing along to “Sweet Caroline” than on the A Beautiful Noise performance and I can’t say I blame him.
