Seriously. The person who recorded this meeting must have known SOMETHING about Madison and her situation, or was experiencing the same.
In all my years of working for companies big and small, I have never felt the need to secretly record any meeting, let alone an HR meeting.
You know what else I haven't felt the need to do? Tell an inappropriate joke after an HR meeting.

After a month and a half of looking, I'm coming up dry for anything I can afford and especially coming up dry on replies to Craigslist ads (they don't respond or are scams) for places I can afford. Starting to panic quite a bit now.

We generate wealth sent to the state and then have to beg for a return of a piece of that wealth to fund services that THEY require us to provide. Then, when we ask for the means to provide solutions to problems they created, they say, "NO". For example, in 2008, Gov.
