@empiricism Wow, that sounds really expensive. I'm building air quality sensors with kids and we are using a set developed by the Open Knowledge Foundation Germany. It's based on an #ESP8266, a SDS011 and a BME280 so that you can measure PM10 and PM2.5 as well as temperature, humidity and air-pressure. For my work, I prefer project-based Learning (#PBL) with as much #MakerEd as possible in our formal setting named schoolsystem. I like #creativity. And I have a #cat.

After 20 years in the IT industry & 15 years in garden and landscape construction, I got stuck teaching in the Hessian school system. 😉
I teach #InformationTechnology, #Science and #VocationalEducation. Sometimes separately, but more and more often together: #STEAM in the school makerspace or as a teachertrainer in the #Makerspace of the #Medienzentrum #Frankfurt.
