@Maker_of_Things @makershour A2: I guess my most obvious is wool. I enjoy working with wool that is close to its original nature so I have fleeces hanging around that I wash and spin. I'm looking forward to my first drum carder arriving next week. I'm hoping it will help me get everything processed more quickly. But I'm also waiting for warm sunny weather in order to get the fleeces washed. Sigh, lots to do. #MakersHour

@Maker_of_Things @makershour A1: The only thing I've really done this week is to begin this chunky doll cardigan. I haven't gotten very far and I'm not really sure if it wouldn't have been better as a poncho so I might yet rip it out and begin again.

Sometimes things just don’t go to plan. The back door is getting a finger plate to cover my gluey thumbprint which got there during ‘door hanging without clamps’ earlier in the week. At least the coal bin is looking the part! #MakersHour #miniature #WoodWorking #WIP

Slight hitch this morning - took the clamps off but hadn’t placed a poly bag between my painted surface and the wood that packed the model before I added the clamps. A bit of the paint has stuck to the packing wood so I need to fill back in the colour. It’s a setback 🙄 but not a disaster 😢. First coat applied. On the plus the back looks great and the mullions are perfectly aligned. #EverydayASchoolDay #miniatures #MakersHour

Backdoor update. The card ‘door’ I made and painted with undercoat last night is looking like a good fix. It needs trimmed and a cross piece needs to go below the window and above the panels. The window mullions will be cut to fit then all the pieces painted before assembly. The paper hinges can be ‘caught’ between the two parts of the door and the oiled wooden finish will be facing inside the kitchen to match the dresser, chairs, and table. #MakersHour #dollshouse #miniatures #No52

@copper I have of course lost the band of the red one but the blue is the same. They are called ‘West Yorkshire Spinners’ and I bought it in John Lewis Plc but they are also available online. This one is 75% wool and 25% nylon just to make it a bit more hard wearing. #knitting #yarn #MakersHour
