So today I'm wearing a Maker Forums T-shirt I made for myself a few years ago. Thought I would share how I made it here.
Freezer paper has a plastic side that you can temporarily attach to fabric with an iron. I laser cut a stencil from the freezer paper and ironed on the shirt. Then used fabric paint to color in the stencil and then peeled off the stencil.
It's a very simple DIY way to make a custom t-shirt. You could even hand cut the freezer paper If you don't have a laser. More info in the links below. #lasercutting #Making

Throwing back to when I was #3dprinting and #making #ukulele for sale. I still need to make a @guitar at some point.
Added visual flow indicators to my CO2 laser cooling systems. Choose fluorescent yellow spinners which glow green when illuminated with a UV LED. #lasercutting #Making

Found an old plywood drawer and converted it to a rolling storage bin. #Making

It's awesome that the fediverse actually interoperates between different implementations, much like email. It's great that it is decentralized. But I haven't found a server where the Local or Federated views are particularly aligned with my interests.
I want to read more about #3dprinting, #machining, #electronics, #lasercutting, and general #making. And I don't want to depend on centralized services to do that.
