A tip I have for anyone just joining Mastodon is to follow many accounts & to make them as diverse as possible. It’s a great way to connect with new people & to learn lots of interesting stuff. Also it makes your home feed fill up pretty quickly.
And personally, I’ve found that people here are really up for chatting & helping with with what’s needed.
