Berühmte Maler wie van Gogh oder Rembrandt haben bleihaltige Farben verwendet und sind deswegen erkrankt. In der Kunst war das hochgiftige Bleiweiß über Jahrhunderte unersetzlich. Ein Symptom waren Darm- und Blasenkrämpfe, die so häufig auftraten, dass man von ‘Malerkolik‘ sprach.
