Getting acquainted with Andrew Hickey's "A History of Rock Music in 500 Songs" podcast has opened me up to all kinds of surprises, such as the revelation that Shocking Blue's "Venus" was fundamentally built out of a rocked-up reworking of "Oh! Suzanna" that featured #CassElliott on vocals.
