A good day on the football field. #ManCity men beat Bayern in Japan, Rico Lewis having an epic game.

Yui Hasegawa was the central hub for Japan as they beat Costa Rica. I didn’t think our women’s team could replace Keira Walsh, but Hasegawa was an inspired choice.

Canada were lucky to beat Ireland, who have played really well against teams way above their level. Expect to see some of their players who are currently in the Irish League in the European top flight next season.

Taking a break from women’s football to watch #ManCity men’s preseason match against Yokohama F Marinos. Wearing last season’s away shirt with “Bunny” on the back, and hoping she helps Jamaica cause a shock against France. #fitba

I painted my nails sky blue for the Champions League final and have neither removed nor covered the paint since. So, at Glasgow Pride yesterday, dragged up to the nines (but no fresh nail varnish) I was able to show what remains to a young #ManCity fan watching the march and tell them about it.

#ManCity are now big enough to get Thor Hinself to provide pyrotechnics for the victory celebrations. I’m soaked, exhausted, and it was totally worth it. Now holed up in a brewpub with mostly vegan Indian street food for recovery.

I have presumptuously booked myself on a so-early-it’s-still-night train to Manchester on Monday, based entirely on credible word that if #ManCity get a bus parade, it will be on Monday. Apparently a mere double might not be enough to warrant one, even though a certain other team got one for far less. Details will be announced after the Champions League Final.
