Hablar poco y escuchar mucho. Defecto la timidez, pero a mi edad me da lo mismo. Velocidad sobretodo en carretera y con el tramo cerrado... #basket, #ajedrez, #rallye, #f1, #tecnologia y cacharreo con smartphones en general, Roms de android en particular aunque no soy programador y ahora me hubiera gustado serlo, aprendiz en #linux con #manjaro y #mint. Catalunya independent, encara que pensi en castellà... Y agradecer a una persona que aunque no está en mi estancia me recibió como si fuera de la suya @rober.

I love doing these weird #linux #experiments but last time I tried something like this (debian to ubuntu) it didn't actually work and I ended up reinstalling.
That being said I'm considering reinstalling to switch to endeavour anyway.

Pretty cool milestone for cameras on the #PinePhonePro and the #libcamera + #PipeWire stack today: the #Manjaro images (the stock distro) for both #phosh and #PlasmaMobile now come with all required packages by default.
Finally I can simply install cheese and get an image.
Yes, the rotation is still wrong. Yes, there are still features missing that you'd expect from a modern camera stack. Yes, there are still bugs and suboptimal image quality. But we got a working base now.

146 followers · 82 posts · Server floss.socialWe recently discovered that the #libcamera + #pipewire stack was actually broken on most distros for devices requiring an IPA - such as the #PinePhonePro and other mobile phones - when using distro-packages and not building either of the two projects from source.
#ArchLinux / #Manjaro and #Alpine / #postmarketOS have updates for that in the pipe now.
#debian got that fix a bit earlier already, #Fedora will likely follow soon.
tl;dr: the modern linux camera stack is slowly falling into place.
