@Pepijn An idea could be to create a #MapComplete theme to guide the capture of data and lower the technical bar for contribution: https://mapcomplete.osm.be. For example, there is a theme about bus routes. One could be created about ferry routes. This is a way to share the effort and contribute to an open dataset.

Fahrradbibliotheken / Bicycle libraries hab ich vorher auch noch nie gehört. Erstmal bei #MapComplete. Da fast nur Locations in Belgien eingetragen sind, kommt es vielleicht daher.

For adding pictures to #OSM I use #MapComplete but never added food pictures.Have a look at www.mapcomplete.osm.be and works perfect on mobile phones.

While +1 went shopping, I updated the map. Set the various POIs with #OsmAnd and Quick Action. Answered questions and added pictures with #MapComplete. Answered more questions in #StreetComplete. Later, I refined everything on openstreetmap.org.

The emergency dispatching center of East-Flanders has started adding all AED's that they know of to #OpenStreetMap, using #MapComplete!

Hi there, I'm new here on this instance, so a quick introduction.

I've been using OSM for years, mainly for cycling and hiking. A while ago I started doing simple edits, first with #StreetComplete and later also with #MapComplete.

I would like to do more "free" editing, but all the options OSM has are baffling me.
That's why I created this Mastodon account ... to ask you all those silly newbie questions 😊

For future reference: this was obviously an #aprilFools joke.

However, there is a kernel of truth in there: #MapComplete is pcurrently getting a big refactoring: we are switching to @maplibre and in the wake of it, I'm cleaning up rhe codebase and restructuring the UI slightly (and porting some more UI-components to #Svelte)

Porting #MapComplete to use the #Google Places API is going great! It really helps to quickly add addesses into #OpenStreetMap!

Did you know there is a sibling Mastodon-account for the MapComplete-account?

@mapcomplete@botsin.space posts a daily overview of changes made with #MapComplete and adds pictures that have been made with them. It's a nice way to see what people have been doing and a daily trip to random places.
