This is also a nice Markdown editor. It still isn't quite what I'm looking for. I will keep this one as a good fallback option. Plus it's a portable install, open-source, multi-platform, and free.

Well, I gave Typora a try over the weekend. It's a good Markdown editor. However, the lack of a toolbar or button formatting options in its code view hampers my workflow. I'll keep looking for something else. Switched back to MarkdownPad 2 to get this week's newsletter done. MarkdownPad 2 is hard to replace.

Anyone have any recommendations for converting Word Docs to Markdown?

Right now, I'm just copying and pasting from Word into MarkdownPad (http://markdownpad.com/). Then formatting.

I don't mind doing that, but I would love to just export or save as from Word straight to Markdown.
