Innocent young girl comes to the big city, makes some killer autopsies, and wins the heart of a prince. There's also crime, rebellion, and treason.

I enjoyed the ride - it's a historical drama not afraid to go "historical" if needed. Add female friendship and middle aged women who _aren't_ bitches to the mix. But the role of the eunuchs felt unfresh.

The infamous black magician Wei Wuxian wakes up after being dead for 16yrs. Now he has to find out why - but first a(n ejoyable) detour into his epic origin and his relation to Lan Wangji.

To spare anyone just as impatient as me; the flashback ends at ep 31 - enjoy the story. I also recommend watching the series twice to enjoy the first eps and entangle the subplots. It's definitely good enough for that.

Unfortunately only two seasons are available on Netflix Nordic, because I'd gladly watch all five + some extra. The series is about love in all its shapes; love for friends, for old teachers, for one's job, and between, well, lovers. Every episode also features a dish of Japanese comfort food. Softspoken humour and very wholesome.

I'm not a fan of hospital drama, so I can't tell you how this stands in the genre. It speaks its advantage, though, that it managed to keep me hooked through two seasons, and that I kind of want more. It's a wholesome show, with the character troubles on a normal (drama) level. There are drama around the hospital cases, yet still good for laid-back watching. I do recommend.

TBH there's not much plot in this - it's mostly Alice getting around a strange country with weird characters. It's still one of those classics that _are_ enjoyable to read. You won't regret it, but you may ask 'Dafuq was this???' afterwards.

Three things, though

1. Colours. Colours! Colooooouuuuurs! We've suffered through ten+ years of "artistic" sepia tones now. When will film/tv makers realise colour photography exist?

2. Aoudha should have been left as a major character.

3. Why so serious? This is an adventure story - not Kafka.

Phileas Fogg, regular at the Reform Club in 19thC London, makes a bet to travel around the world in 80 days. He immediately leaves with his new valet - Passepartout.

This is a thorough revwrite - which is good in some ways, and a bummer in others. Tennant (Fogg) is still a very handsome man, making Passepartout black is genius, and the story is well written and enjoyable.

After a shipwreck, Robinson is the sole survivor. Washed ashore on a desolete island he have to stay alive until someone rescues him - which can take years.

This may not be the first 'man alone on an island' tale, but it's definately the Founding Story. And it's one of the classics that is enjoyable to read. Make sure to get an edition with the long pro- and epilogues. They're worth it.

Sorry filmmakers, until you've done real work on Frank Herbert's philosophy you can't make Dune happen. He spent ~10yrs on it, and it's not just some exotic spice (ahaha), but the thing that gives the story its sparkle. This movie is closer to what Dune fans want (yay), but for a person who hasn't read the book (guilty) it's just weirdly slow, boring way too often, and literally beige (Swedish slang for lame/vanilla) 3/5
