I ordered appetizers (Mexican) for Ian and me. We were about 5 #martinis down, and I'd had breakfast on the plane but skipped lunch.

Ian went non-verbal. I quit yapping. We both knew what was happening. I pantomimed "check" to the bartender. She circled "$180" on the ticket with a big wink at me. We'd drunk a fuckton of #martinis—9/10 @ $39/round + apps? I tipped $320.

Ian woke me up with kisses on the neck. We were nekkid in his bed, but best-recollect, nothing "sex" had happened. He remedied that, with vigor.

Did he want brekkies? Just tea for Ian. Did they have #Barry's? #IrishBreakfastTea? Wow, they did!

He pulled a CD from his bag + played it on the room's A+ sound system.

• Ian: "Have you heard #ZZTop?"

• Me: "Yes, chile. Since High School! Big Fan!"

"Heard It On The X" was his favorite song.

🎧 #Thread 1/2 #ThrowbackThursday | Winter 2004 in #SF wholesaling #dancemusic #CDs to mostly-#gay stores in the US + overseas. Ian was a top client. He had "a wee DJ shop" in 🇮🇪 #Cork. We got on #Goldilocks, He'd mentioned "Anne" a couple times—his (older) wife. So when Ian e-mailed to say they'd be in Vegas on Holiday and would love to meet me, I #RSVP'd "See y'all there! problem!" That's what you do for a good client, if you can.

We met as planned in #TheVenetian lobby. But Anne had begged off their holiday "last minute, like," he told me. His face flushed, and I thought, "O. (beat) K."

(Pause here to say Ian was 32-ish, talll, dark with curly, 15 years younger and #GARjes!

Ian chose one of the more intimate spots in the hotel. 10 seats at the bar, and suggested #Martinis. He "make that two"-d my "Bombay Sapphire dirty with 2 olives." $38/round.

On #Martini3, he slapped his open hand on my thigh to make a point, and let it linger... ⤵️ 2/2.
