I deleted the DigitalOcean Droplet, the storage and DNS over there... Pulling the nameservers back to the Registrar. Haven't tested email for the domain yet, but ... it's not critical.

Over the week of May 20, 2023 - Jun 18, 2023, https://toot.works has seen three new sign-ups, 16 active users, and 1,085 interactions.

It is a small instance but we are using the https://infosec.exchange relay, so the federated feed is hopping.

@vanlueckn @TheKinrar Very cool. Since #mastohost is on OVH and DigitalOcean has a Mastodon droplet, I'm guessing we're starting to see the ratio of managed vs bare metal instances?

@remilouf @cameron I've brought this up before, the difficulty is that it's a managed instance (masto.host IIRC) and they don't have an obvious way to make customizations like this.

There might be a non-obvious way, but #mastohost is isn't currently responding to pings, because of the huge recent jump in demand.

I’ll be running #mastodon v3.5.3 for a while #MastoHost goes to 4.0 when stable, migration system deployed, etc.

already got some help getting up a SPF record up and validated for federate.social which of course i had no reason to learn about until i decided to set up a new server and it's a great feeling the mutual support out here on the #fediverse so to thanks a tip from @justin i now have an SPF record that validates to #MastoHost

@justin I generated an SPF for masto.host and it validates at MX toolbox.

@dmarti Thanks Don. DCMA $6 filing fee a new thing to add to a #mastohost budget. We could really use someone to gather all the various legal resources for #MastoAdmins into a single GitHub so we get a handle on all of it, globally.
