@carl also, the "reply" button doesn't work on your site anymore, seems like that was removed in #mastodon4 and the only fix is to just remove it (which is what i did)

@astrul Hmm good point. I think the profile sidebar was never shown in the previews from other instances, you had to open it in the web interface of the profile's instance, logged out. The feature disappeared because #Mastodon4 removed the logged-out UI entirely (it relied on HTML rendered server-side rather than the current AJAX stuff).

Ever since my update to Mastodon 4.0.2, the checkboxes have disappeared from pending trending hashtags. But only in mobile view. It is just fine from a desktop browser. Does anyone else see this? #Mastodon4 #Mastodon

I updated mastodon. It seems to have worked except I get “We’re sorry, but something went wrong on our end” with zero explanation as to where to look. But, Mastodon on the app seems to work. #mastodon #instance #mastodon4 #admin

@anildash There is a feature native to Mastodon called “feature on profile,” which allows you to “feature” users and hashtags as recommended, although as of #Mastodon4, these…don’t actually display anywhere.

@feditips I use the official #iOS #Mastodon client, I have it up to date, I can’t see the hashtag icon on my profile… is this a #Mastodon4 feature?

Hashtag following is such a cool feature. No need to fork over individual accoubts whe I can just follow the topic.

One really interesting and overlooked native feature of #Mastodon is the ability to “feature” users and hashtags on your profile as a kind of list of recommendations. Unfortunately no apps that I know of display this info, and the web app even stopped as of #Mastodon4.

So I'm defo on #Mastodon4 the lack of edit was due to #Tusky.

Will my posts lose their charm without the typos?
