It seems to work at least in #fedilab , #subwaytooter and hopefully soon in #megalodon which I'm testing now. I wonder if these apps are using different solutions to achieve this?

And still there is no Mastodon app that lets you do that in the natural way, with oldest posts highest up in the timeline. Why is that? There were Twitter apps that could do that

However a different app #icecubesapp made it a lot easier to add in #alttext if you posted and forgot. I’ve been going through and making sure to add it to posts where I forgot originally.

The official app looks great but doesn't work at all when reading the timeline in chronological order. When you load missing posts it automatically jumps to the newest loaded post, not the oldest. That can be adjusted in Tusky.

The official app looks pretty nice, but I don't like the big Mastodon logo at the top that you have to stare at all the time. Also, it seems to be only in English, whereas Tusky has Finnish interface. Not a dealbreaker, but nice.

0 followers · 4 posts · Server mstdn.socialOkay, trying to stay on top of the things by reading your timeline, bottom to top, oldest to newest, sucks just the same: tap on "load more", and then RUN RUN RUN to scroll it out of your view before it finishes loading so you're not losing your current position in the feed. The good and the bad thing is, mstdn is way faster than twi, so you have to be really fast.
I wonder if there are clients that support my reading style, or this has to be addressed from the backend #newbie #ux #MastodonApp
