There's a UX for Mastodon now? Fancy! Last time I heard people talk about it it was "Keep trying to join instances until you luck into an active server with friendly people to help you out." and if you don't like that apparently you want to recreate noted fascist site Twitter here.

I don't know much about the Masto Covenant. "Don't permit bigotry" and "give 3 months notice after you spit the dummy out." seem to be where it's at.

They have been all along. Most of the harassment has seemed to be coming from sites in the #fediverse which are not party to the #MastodonCovenant but I believe you that there may be some now infiltrating Mastodon instances.

BTW there is a #disinformation tactic in use of trying to portray #Ukraine and the #Ukrainian cause as some kind of #racism based on a bunch of lies such as the canard that Ukrainians are "blue-eyed blonde" racists when historically #Russian chauvinists and German Nazis tried to portray Ukrainians are "dark" and dubiously even "white". Not to mention that the #1 criminal promoter of racist movements and ethnic strife is #VladimirPutin who is behind a systematic effort to weaponize #immigration conflict and #nativism world wide.

If an account is causing you problems, you can block it, just like on the #BirdSite.

If you find that many accounts from the same instance allow spam or hate speech, you should report it to your admin to possibly defederate. This means your entire instance would no longer connect to the offending instance if it's found to be on violation of the #MastodonCovenant.

You also have the option to mute the entire instance from your feed.
