what is this weird glitch on Mastodon web on mobile where on a video preview I see the video, but then I click play and I have a teeny tiny, left-adjusted sliver of the video. Rotating does nothing, closing and reopening doesn't help. Any ideas? Is it android Firefox? Is the app to blame or is it mastodon because videos on other sites don't have this problem.

not liking this Mastodon web experience lately. Not sure what causes this, but every time now after hitting Publish, I come back and reload the page and it has this same comment, partially completed, as if I was still typing it and hadn't hit submit.

Any ideas what's behind this? Happens both on Firefox on Android and Firefox on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

@MeanestBossEver This exists in some of the prominent Mastodon forks, i.e. https://github.com/hometown-fork/hometown/wiki/Local-only-posting . You may want to switch to an instance running such a fork (and/or encourage the feature to get merged into mainline Mastodon). (Hope you don't mind my resurrecting this rather old thread -- I was looking thru the #MastodonDev tag, and came across it)

@mastodon design tip, make it look like Twitter and indent the posted content a bit out from the avatar icon. Kind of layout like newspaper article style. Etc. #design #mastodondesign #MastodonDev #mastodondevelopment
