Folks that run their own #Mastodon / #Masto #server and have #upgraded to 4.0.2 I have question about #permissions

Looks like my server upgraded to 4.0.2, but it knocked out my #admin permissions. I tried to reset them from the terminal, but kept getting a :

Cannot find user role with that name.

..error. Anyone else do a #MastodonServer #upgrade and have this issue. Any advice from you #fediverse oldtimers?

I don’t understand how I can move my account to another server, when I have to sign up with a new name to get onto a new server. I’ve been accepted on a more relevant server then the one I initially signed up to. Now what? #Mastodon #MastodonServer

Does a CDN help with Mastodon? Yes, but you have to remember how Mastodon works. What a CDN is highly unlikely to help much with is the number of requests, as pretty much all the wordy bits are non-static generated from databases, so a CDN is not going to reduce the number of connections by much. What it will do is help massively with images - in my case about 50%.

Scheinbar werden Mastodon Server interessanter, aktuell gehen die SSH Login Versuche kräftig hoch, also solltet ihr bei euren Servern SSH entweder komplett dicht machen (am besten) oder auf jeden Fall fail2ban laufen lassen. #mastodonserver #mastodonadmin

OK guys.... I did a thing.....
I started my own Mastodon server. And since I am soccer fan, I created a server for LGBTQIA+ soccer fans! Gotta have your niche after all 😀
The server is not 100% yet, and I can't accept new users yet (I don't have outgoing email working) but hopefully amazon authorizes that soon.
