I tend not to regurgitate too much breaking news, but I'm keen on saving Western Liberal Democracy and am down on dis-info and psy-ops.

I amplify OSINT and post stream-of-consciousness commentary when inspired.

Occasional teeth-gnashing occurs.

I also spin #VinylRecords and stream online and post threads of the LP cover art as I go.

I believe that is the only way to follow someone on another server.

I have noticed that some people have multiple addresses, figuring out the correct/active may be the next trick, if needed.

Wow, we moved to SF around the same time, I moved here in '88 and remember accessing the internet via CompuServe (worked in legal) pre-Windows.

SF SOMA raves were definitely a trip back then and a much needed release right in the middle of the AIDS epidemic.

Exactly. When migrating from the bird to #Mastonia, check your assumptions at the door.

Especially the notion that some benevolent big daddy on big social is going to take care of you and your content indefinitely.

The core tenet of decentralization is to be in control of your own data. That means there’s a responsibility and a learning curve. Taken on balance, I’d say it’s worth it.

That was Nov. 5th. I've been breathing the air and feeling the vibe here for just over a week.

I've learned enough to have a basic understanding of the #Fediverse and #decentralization.

I've been watching, listening, and engaging with some refreshingly smart people. (fist-bump to @atomicpoet)

In eight short days, I've grokked enough to get the gist of this place.

From where I sit, the #Fediverse and #Mastonia by extension is a game changer.

I can't help but shout it from the rooftops.
