Sometimes it's worth the time spent just staring close at a painting, to appreciate the #materiality of the medium. When I feel uninspired or stuck, it can help to look at things from a different perspective. The other option, if motivation is still non-existent, is to turn the painting towards the wall and "stumble upon it" after a few months. Details from a recent fire painting.
