All were fabulous, all were different. So, my favourite RPG is all the RPGs - diversity rules!

#rpgaday2023 Ich hege keine große Liebe zu Regelsystemen. Was mir gut von der Hand geht, ist #dsa in frühen Inkarnationen, nicht weil es absolut so gut wäre, sondern weil ich es so lange gespielt habe, dass ich vieles intuitiv regeln kann. Ich finde #UnknownArmies recht elegant und auf Überraschung und Spannung ausgelegt. Überhaupt sind mir dies riesige wichtigsten Punkte: intuitiv zu bedienen, produziert Überraschungen. Daher auch #dcc oder #Mausritter.

Can't really point out an individual module because I rarely if ever run the same module more than once.

But generally speaking, when it comes to one-shots, I love running #DCC funnels; or #Mausritter adventures.

My two kids just finished a short #TinyDungeon (hatchling edition) campaign that I made for them. They seemed to enjoy it much more than I expected! The youngest (7yo) was able to remember tons of details from past sessions, even though it took us a few months to resume playing! #TTRPGs do create experiences that stick with you - I still have lots of fond memories of my own sessions.

Today while playing #Mausritter my character was Rather Upset with another mouse and called them "a miscreant gerbil" before punching them in the face. :mouse_blob_uwu:

In the biggest upset to my campaign 2 predictionsthe group has decided we will play #Mausritter

I would have been happy with any of the eight options, but this was unexpected, I was sure the group would go for #TheMechaHack, it's all they've been talking about for a couple of weeks

I think the demo we had last well went well, but it probably scratched the itch for a #mecha game so they decided for this one

Read #Mausritter. I don't know why I hadn't before, it seems great, I knew it was a bit #IntoTheOdd and a bit #Knave but it goes so freaking hard on both of those things. Like if you want to play ito you should probably be playing mausritter unless you absolutely want to play ito instead, same for knave

Is it cute? Just a bit. But it's much more lethal and, in a sense, terrifying than the games that make up it's DNA

And I think it could be so absurdist. I want to play it

Ran another wonderful session of #Mausritter for the East #bristol Adventurers. Second time I have run ‘Tower of Soot’ and it is an excellent one shot if you run games as part of a larger club, in a pub. The ‘ticking clock’ provides great momentum to get an adventure through to the end within 3 hours or so. Time to talk before and after. 10/10 would recommend.

Yesterday i designed a prototype #5e equipment slot system (à la #Mausritter ) for #ToV & #DnD probs work for #pathfinder too (but less sure about that). I’m actually pretty chuffed with the prototype and rules interactivity. Got to do a little bit of scissor craft 😅 … Will see if some unsuspecting players want to playtest it in my two games this week.

Tonight I will be actually running some Mausritter tho! (having been of those two who nodded it to @slyflourish)

Running 3 games next week, including some #Mausritter - which is such a wonderful #ttrpg if you haven’t already player it. The other two will be continuing to playtest my #5e adventure with two seperate groups.

Thinking i might try and encourage its use with #ToV rather than #DnD .. perhaps encouraging their creature stat blocks? (It’ll be a free adventure).
