Im Freilichtmuseum Plimoth Patuxet kann man echte Musketenschüsse hören und sehen. Dazu den lustigen altenglischen Akzent der Bewohner des rekonstruierten Originaldorfs der ersten Siedler, der von auskunftsfreudigen Schauspielern imitiert wird.

Congratulations! I recently discovered I have connections to the #Mayflower through James Chilton. I am still working on officially verifying this, but it is certainly exciting and somewhat surprising.

It's the unexpected connections, (even the small ones), that keep the addiction going.

I don't think I have actually made any #genealogy posts since I got here.

So here's the biggie. I have found about 10 (not officially verified) connections to the #Mayflower Two to #RichardWarren, so two of his kids are also great-grandparents.

#ElizabethMansfield is also my #GatewayAncestor to royalty. Again, not officially verified, but I do my best to build my tree accurately. I'm entirely self-taught, however, so any mistake could exist that undoes all of these.

On this day in 1699 Mary Allerton, the last surviving passenger of the Mayflower, died aged 83. She arrived at Plymouth when she was about four years old and lived there for the rest of her life.  She was laid to rest on Burial Hill in Plymouth. #lego #history #art #America #mayflower
