Work's been hectic so here's a few of the last of the #MeMadeMay that I didn't post.
I definitely need more warm weather clothes.
Purple linen M+B glebes.
The repaired flying pants (M+B modified sculthorpe) and a Helen's Closet Gilbert top.
M+B shortened sculthorpes and an M+B banksia tank.
Another Gilbert top with the flying pants and a repaired bra.
For next year, I suspect I'll try hard mode again. It's definitely a good chance to reflect on what I've made and what's missing.
Phew, #MeMadeMay is done!
Honestly, I got a bit bored of all the photo-taking (and ironing!) but, on the plus side I’ve enjoyed connecting with the awesome and inspiring #sewing community, seeing other people’s makes and pattern recommendations. Also, I finally picked up the dress I had neglected since last September, finished it and made another. I’m sewing again! So all-in-all a good result
Final Day of #MeMadeMay , I wear skirt that was sewn by a dear friend of mine and given to me as a gift, I thus don’t know the pattern. I also would never have chosen this pattern for myself, but I wear it often in Summer. Sometimes it’s good to think outside the box and try something else 😊 The top is #Melli by #confettipatterns in rayon Jersey. I made it last summer, but I have several #Melli tops. #imademyclothes @sewing

Day 28 of #MeMadeMay and I’ve managed to finish off the tiger dress I’ve been making - fabric from Pound Fabrics (£1.95 a metre!), pattern free with Simply Sewing magazine #sewing
#MeMadeMay Day 28. We are leaving for a short trip to the family. I wear a #chardon skirt by #deeranddoe. The fabric with the lovely flamingos is recycled bedsheets. Some years ago I bought a bunch of bedsheets on ebay to make pyjamas, but this one was way to lovely to not show it of as a skirt. The top is #plaintain also from #deeranddoe . #imademyclothes @sewing

#MeMadeMay Day 27. Garden Dress. Another Ashland Dress but from Jersey. It is very comfortable and suitable for housework and garden and it was my Muslin for an Ashland Dress in Jersey. Sewn over 5 years ago and just now I am working on the “real” dress… well at least it had time to prove its qualities… #imademyclothes @sewing
Day 27 of #MeMadeMay and I’m going to sit in the garden and sort out the gathers on the dress I’m making. This is another make using the Alexander Henry Frida’s Garden fabric #sewing
#MeMadeMay Day 26. yesterdays Dress without Cardi and Shawl. Salad and mich netter weather.
For the last few days #MeMadeMay outfits have been faves.
M+B glebe pants and Waikerie shirt.
M+B Noice jeans and Helen's Closet Gilbert top.
Cashmerette Upton.
Cashmerette Lenox shirt dress.
I have plans to make more of every one.
Today is the Noice jeans from the second pic with the Waikerie from the first.
#MeMadeMay Day 25. Bertha Dress, again. This one is made from French Terry and has no sleeves, I wear it over a long sleeved top and combined with a cardigan. Today I was in the home office, went to the post office by bike and worked in the garden during my afternoon break, the dress was a good companion during the whole day. #imademyclothes #sewing

No time for a new photo on day 25 of #MeMadeMay so here’s a photo I took last summer of the skirt I’m wearing today (a Fibre Mood pattern called Crystal in purple and navy striped jersey) #sewing
#MeMadeMay Day 24. Another office day and it’s cold again. I wear an #Ashland Dress. The fabric is a very nice cotton with a floral print. It reminds me of sleeping beauty as it resembles a rose thorn hedge. The fabric was a gift and the dress was my election day dress (in 2015 or 2016?) - I used to sew a new dress for elections to celebrate democracy, once I had less kids and more spare time. This morning I wore my #Robson Coat, which will forever be the best coat I ever did. #imademyclothes

Day 24 of #MeMadeMay and I’m hoping it’s warm enough for me to wear this “learning experience” skirt! It’s the Sew Over It Ava Skirt, which is a really easy make, but I thought that as the fabric includes polyester I would use underlining to make it less clingy - all fine until the first wash, when the underlining shrunk drastically and I had to chop the bottom of it, overlock the underlining and re-hem the skirt! That will teach me to stick to natural fibres in future #sewing
Most days are now warm or hot enough to go out without an outer layer. I've sewn everything I wear on this photo apart from the bag (I modified and repaired it though), sandals and socks, so this counts as #meMadeMay too.
Also tested the magic arm as a selfie tool. Clamped it to various things, here it's clamped to the garbage bin roof that I earlier used to balance the phone on. Clamping is more secure :) #sewing #photographyHacks

#MeMadeMay Day 23. Office Day. A *new* #deeranddoe #ondee Sweater. With a very nice anchor print in my most favourite color (petrol dark-green-blueish). Combined with #chardon skirt. I will wear this outfit to give a workshop on dissertation writing strategies today and hope to brighten up the room. Also it reminds me of beloved crafting friends: shawl crocheted by @meikerenschbergner and shoes second hand from @lottikatzkowski (who remained on the bird site 😢) @sewing #imademyclothes #moa

#MeMadeMay day 23 (good grief!). Not quite warm enough for a skirt at the minute so I’ve dug out this Tilly & The Buttons Rosa shirt - Liberty fabric has strong 1970’s art teacher vibes and I like the shape of this pattern #sewing
#MeMadeMay Day 22. Finally a warm day. I wear an #anna dress by #byhandlondon made from quilting cotton in blue with very small red roses on it. It has lining and pockets! Unfortunately it is, like most of my self made dresses 5 years old and will soon give up on being worn intensely during the whole summer. I will make at least two new Anna Dresses this year! Promised. #imademyclothes @sewing

Day 22 of #MeMadeMay and it has finally warmed up a bit, so I have an excuse to wear this boxy top from my “getting back into sewing” phase. I love this fabric - which is called Girl Power - featuring DC superheroes. #sewing #wonderwoman

No #MeMadeMay posts from me for a few days, as I’ve just been re-wearing things I’ve already shown, but instead, here is a 1960’s #knitting pattern that my mum passed on today - I’m not sure that the pattern name is very appropriate but suffice to say I now have a strong urge to knit a trilby!
