Did you already read Mearsheimer's new piece? What is your take on it?

IMO he underestimates russia's internal struggles (mutiny, purging of Generals, economic decline). And overestimates russian military capability (basically assumes that russia will get also Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Odessa at some point in the near future...).

I kind of feel I wasted my time reading this.

#Orban likely doesn't understand the difference between liberal and realist IR theories.

What he should understand is that #Mearsheimer's precepts for Hungary in 1992 would likely be similar to his advice on #Ukraine.

1) Don't bother joining EU, it's will fall apart anyway.

2) Don't let #Hungary join #Nato, it will antagonize Russia.

3) If #Russia invades nonetheless, don't expect or ask West for help b/c it will antagonize Russia even further.

It's all your fault anyway.
