So many people don't seem to know that most film and TV still release on DVD, which is great for #MediaPreservation!

There is a worrying trend of streaming service exclusives starting to not come to DVD, Ted Lasso on AppleTV+ for example, whereas other streaming shows (Stranger Things, For All Mankind, The Last of Us) have.

We need to keep this going, physical media may not be the most used media anymore, but I would argue it's the most important.

I put Age of Apocalypse back on pause tonight to work on getting through the last of my Transformers Legends ebook project. In case anyone's curious about my workflow on the project to turn the Transformers Legends anthology into an ebook! I photograph the pages, send the pictures to my MacBook, then use its OCR to copy the text. I clean up the formatting and any errors in TextEdit before putting it in Scrivener, which I'll ultimately use to create a proper epub file. #Transformers #TransformersLegends #MediaPreservation

Relatedly: There's a relatively cheap, brand-name REGION FREE DVD player that most Walmarts just carry right on the shelf! Composite output as well as HDMI, it works great on old TVs! I use it to watch old cartoons that only got UK or Australian releases. #MediaPreservation #RetroTech #RetroCartoons
