Again it seems that informing customers and partners is not really high on the agenda as the notification is buried under a very tiny link called newsroom at the bottom of the home page.

Seems the marketing people are still winning it from the security folks. 😞

- Govt multiplied the #moneySupply by approx six times during #covid, mostly benefitting the most wealthy?

So after getting caught in the #optus data leak and the #medibank hack, my #lastpass has also likely been compromised. At this point I don't really know what to do, I've pretty much lost faith in any kind of security anywhere, and I really don't have the time or patience to deal with this crap today.

@vt52 Problem is they might be next. I think it's better to remain with Lastpass if you have an account there and reduce your digital footprint. The fact that LP acknowledges the issues also pretty much ensures they will have a good think around their security practises and fix the issues they've identified.

If you're in a greenfield situation, you may also consider any company that has been hacked before, as the chances are they have their act together now. We've seen similar things happening here in Australia with the #medibank and #optus breaches.

Crown, filling (from probably 30+ years ago) replacement and clean. #Dental work isn't cheap, but hell, if #Medibank are going to let #Russian hackers access my medical data, I'm happy to claim my $1800 in yearly dental insurance with only a few days in the year to go.

Medibank plans security overhaul during the upcoming weekend, and its systems will be offline until Monday.

Given the complexity of the maintenance activities and the requirement to take our systems offline this operation has been in the planning stages for several weeks."

#medibank hacker has leaked all the data. 6.6GB of records and confluence documents. Hacker says "Case closed". I'm yet to get all the data but from what I've seen so far, its more name, birthdates, addresses, medical details etc.
