South Dakota GOPers tried to raise the threshold for ballot initiatives because they are that afraid of a Medicaid expansion campaign this November. The measure failed 2:1.

Red states want good social programs. They vote for them in referendums. Yet when it comes to choosing politicians, a lot of them often just can't help themselves and end up voting against their own interests. Chance to correct this coming soon.
