One of my favorite #Kyoto #Japanesegardens is very much hidden. In 1894 cloisonné artist Namikawa Yasuyuki built himself a residence in Okazaki, a fashionable and modern quarter in the #Meiji era. He commissioned Ogawa Jihee with the garden. This was Ogawa’s first significant project. After that, he quickly became a highly sought-after landscape architect who created many sites in Japan. #日本庭園
