My “I don’t like Google LLM-based search results” ended up with me running #SearXNG in my #homelab.
I’ve ran a handful queries and so far it’s all good.
I haven’t set it up yet but I kind of like the idea of adding local search API like #MeiliSearch
#searxng #homelab #MeiliSearch
#Meilisearch releases version 1.0

Doing some good process on #PHP Search Engine Abstraction Layer called "SEAL". Already had fun trying out new search services like #algolia
and #meilisearch
. Hope such an abstraction allows more people try out other search engines as #opensearch / #elasticsearch.
#php #algolia #MeiliSearch #opensearch #elasticsearch
Open source contributions aren't always code. Thanks @kero ;)

Building #meilisearch and #umami analytics systems on #flyio. Glad everything is running in the free tier. (https://eindex.me/thoughts/1671430490/)
在#flyio 上构建了#meilisearch 和#umami 分析系统。这些都运行在免费额度中。 (https://eindex.me/cn/thoughts/1671430535/)
@Mithridates It makes me so hopeful to see, that others got the same impression.
It's such an interesting time.
I think the most interesting job in the (pure) rust space might be working for #meilisearch at the moment.
I have recently dropped a resume to #meilisearch, because I fell in love with their idea of work and employment.
Now, telling you to do the same is a dumb strategic consideration, because you're such a heavy competition. But I'm sure you'd love working there. I myself am really hoping it works out
I think my very favourite company to work for at the moment would be #meilisearch.
Working with #rustlang on search engines sounds like such a rewarding challenge

Looks like #MeiliSearch is quickly becoming to #elasticsearch what nginx became to apache.
A fast, simple, to-the-point index for search.
Elastic is great for all sorts of data-analysis -gathering and whatnot. It also happens to do search. Meilisearch just does search. And does it well.
