A lot of PTV passenger information either hasn't improved at all or has become worse recently.
Latest example - the official website showing the Upfield Line on an impossible route

Today I found the place where Comeng trains go to die. The location is a scrap metal facility in Laverton North.
You can actually follow their full lifecycle by following these three easy steps:
1) ride on an operational Comeng on the Sunbury Line
2) pass the mothballed trains at Tottenham Yards
3) pay your respects and see their remains here at the Comeng Graveyard

#Mernda Line/ #Hurstbridge Line folk - signal fault at Collingwood, trains are buggered. Avoid if possible.

Some information below for anyone else trying to navigate the #Hurstbridge Line train disruptions this week.
Buses are replacing trains between Heidelberg and Clifton Hill. No trains are operating on this section.
There are two types of bus service. The first runs express from Parliament to Heidelberg. The second runs express to Clifton Hill, then stops all stations to Heidelberg.
However, what the PTV website does not tell you is that Mernda Line trains ARE operating between Clifton Hill and Flinders Street and you should change here to continue. Only if you are going to Parliament will buses run express from Clifton Hill to Parliament.
I don't know why they aren't running extra trains or they are not advertising this information (not even when I called PTV to ask).
The only reason that I know this is because I just tried to use the train replacement buses. Yet again, we need to do much better with #PassengerInformation

Well, it was good while it lasted. The 8.47 train to Pakenham has officially been cancelled, because of course it has. #MelbourneTrains #AlwaysSomething

Breaking news: Some trains are delayed because a driver stopped to pet a koala and is now trying to teach it to drive the train. #MelbourneTrains #KoalaChooChoo

Some good signage for the upcoming City Loop shutdown next year. Right at the entrance to the Elizabeth Street escalators

I totally understand that if I want train and other PT services to improve, sometimes they have to shut down or be altered.
Usually Iโm on top of this stuff but Iโve just moved house and still working out the new route. So 25 minutes to get from Royal Park to North Melbourne on a replacement bus was rough.
Shows how much better dedicated train lines are, though!
Flagstaff has the best signage in the Melbourne loop.
Cut into the metal (unlike Melbourne Central nee Museum) and no weird interiors like Parliament.

Currently on an express train that caught the train before it
and thus turned into a stopping all stations train that never actually stops at a station. #MelbourneTrains
