"Prayer to Pazuzu"

O Pazuzu, King of the demons of the wind!
You who are furious, terrifying,
And most splendid!
Please hear my humble prayer.

The world denounces You as evil,
Yet You were there in ancient times,
Protecting women and children
During the dangerous transition of birth.

The world fears and loathes You,
And yet You do not care,
For the safety of the innocent is Your utmost priority.

Lord, I have seen things that should not be.
I have seen the face of Your dreaded nemesis.
I have seen Lamashtu, and my soul bleeds
From the cruelties by which she is known.

I yearn for Your strength, Great PAZUZU,
For I know in my heart of hearts
That there is nothing You despise more
Than violence against the defenseless.

Put me to Your work, O Divine Exorcist;
Help me to stand against Lamashtu whenever I must!
Let me not be frozen in her gaze;
Let me not be silenced by her defenders.

HAIL PAZUZU! So mote it be.

" ’S FIRST RECORDED AUTHOR WAS a woman named Enheduanna. Born sometime in the latter half of the 23rd century BC, Enheduanna was the high priestess of the ancient city of Ur. It was a political role as well as a religious one; as the daughter of a powerful king, Enheduanna was no stranger to affairs of the state. In her writing, she wielded her pen for peace, working to unite a fractured kingdom."

You know, since Turkey, Armenia, Assyrians, Kurds and many other groups in the North Middle East have basically made really good Zurna samples for keyboards,
finding a Zurna player for rituals shouldn't be too difficult. Just gotta find someone who can play a Keyboard well lol.

Now the real challenge is finding someone who can do melismatic singing in Akkadian or Sumerian

My 1st style necklace.

Lapis lazuli and Carnelian beads, with flax cord i spun from flax I grew. Making the copper leaves by hand was a little complicated but I didn't have gold. 😁

I've worn it a few times like this, and it needs to be smaller because it pokes 😬

ruins of looking down from the palace complex to the cluster of homes and workshops below. It’s easy to imagine a thriving city

We don’t know much about Mycenaean but there are indications that the were important for seafaring and they adopted the important agricultural constellations of for the rainy season and Field/Furrow ( ) for sowing & reaping
